Thomas F. Martin

Thomas F. Martin, an accomplished attorney in Augusta, Georgia, has a unique journey from playing basketball at LaSalle Academy in Queens, New York, to becoming a prominent figure in employment and overtime law. Recruited to play basketball at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, Tom graduated and served a year in Vietnam on river patrol boats in the Mekong Delta.

After his military service, Tom pursued an MBA and embarked on a successful healthcare career as a senior executive in hospital corporations, amassing extensive experience in management and administration over 28 years. Following his retirement from healthcare, he earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve Law School and co-founded Martin & Martin, focusing on employment and wage & hour laws.

Tom has represented hundreds of employees in overtime cases, including collective and class actions for unpaid overtime, illegal tip pools, and various wage violations. His practice also addresses employment discrimination and retaliation issues. Notably, in 2016, he and his partner, Kimberly Martin, secured Georgia's second-highest sexual harassment verdict of the year.
