About Thomas A. Nash Jr.

Thomas A. Nash Jr. completed his undergraduate and law degrees, both magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia and the University of Georgia School of Law. During his undergraduate years, he was a standout member of the Georgia varsity football team, earning All SEC and Academic All American honors.

After graduation, Mr. Nash served as an officer in the United States Air Force. He then joined the Athens, Georgia law firm of Fortson, Bentley, and Griffin as a partner. In 1983, he transitioned to a senior management role at the Savannah-based Carswell Insurance Group. At Carswell, he completed the American Management Association degree in corporate management and received the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Designation. Following the merger of Carswell Insurance, he returned to legal practice in Savannah, where he has been actively practicing for over 25 years.

Mr. Nash holds an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a testament to his integrity and professional competence, and is recognized by Georgia Super Lawyers for his work in plaintiff’s personal injury and general litigation. His professional affiliations include the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Savannah Bar Association, the Savannah Association of Trial Lawyers, and the State Bar of Georgia.

In addition to his legal career, Mr. Nash has been involved in various civic activities, serving as past Board Chairman for the Savannah Fellowship of Christian Athletes and The Living Vine, among other community and church engagements. He also serves on the National Board of Directors of the Global Aid Network, part of Campus Crusade for Christ.
