Matthew J. Cherney earned his Bachelor's Degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, followed by a Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University (The Thomas M. Cooley Law School) in Lansing, Michigan. After law school, he was admitted to the State Bar of Illinois and began his legal career in Chicago, Illinois, focusing on debt relief for families.
In 2008, Matthew relocated to Georgia, joining the State Bar of Georgia.
