Richard Ferrell Evins

Richard F. Evins brings over 26 years of expertise to the fields of commercial and business litigation, collection law, and consumer credit and contract law. His law firm, located in LaGrange, Georgia, manages cases across the state. Mr. Evins is adept at litigating a wide array of disputes, including those involving commercial contracts, consumer law, business disputes, and both residential and commercial leases. He is also proficient in handling small claims and general civil matters.

In addition to his litigation work, Mr. Evins defends consumers against the collection of medical bills, student loans, retail installment contracts, credit cards, and other consumer debts. He regularly practices in the Superior, State, and Magistrate Courts of Georgia, where he has significant experience as lead counsel in numerous jury trials and has conducted bench trials and hearings.

Mr. Evins is a member of the Creditor’s Legal Rights section of the State Bar of Georgia. He has delivered numerous presentations and seminars on health care collections, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and post-judgment collection remedies. He has also appeared as a guest panelist on the television program “The Layman’s Lawyer” on Public Broadcasting Atlanta.

Before pursuing a legal career, Mr. Evins worked in the credit and collections industry. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
