Brian K. Cunha

Brian K. Cunha has been an associate at Slappey & Sadd since 2011, focusing exclusively on Workers' Recovery. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, where he was an active member of the executive committee of the Moot Court Team. Before law school, Brian graduated magna cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a degree in political science, concentrating on judicial studies.

Prior to his formal legal career, Brian gained valuable experience as a clerk at an insurance defense firm, which defended workers' financial recovery claims. He further honed his skills at Georgia State’s Represent Clinic, in collaboration with Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, assisting families with litigation issues affecting children.

In 2010, Brian received a grant from Emory University to work at the Georgia Advocacy Office, advocating for individuals with mental and developmental disabilities. Additionally, he interned with the Georgia Hospital Association, conducting research on healthcare issues affecting local hospitals.

Brian is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the Workers’ Compensation Claimant Lawyers section of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Since his admission to the State Bar of Georgia, he has dedicated his practice to advocating for injured workers against employers and insurers.
