John Stephen Mixon

J. Stephen Mixon, Esq. specializes in employment law, with a particular emphasis on sexual harassment cases. Renowned as one of Georgia's leading advocates for women, he has successfully represented numerous clients in complex legal matters. His practice also includes race discrimination suits, non-compete agreements, and other contract disputes.

Mr. Mixon is a graduate of Oxford College and Emory University (1989) in Atlanta, GA, and the University of Georgia School of Law (1992) in Athens, GA. He began his legal career as staff legal counsel to Senator Strom Thurmond, working with the Senate Judiciary Committee. Subsequently, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Deborah Benefield on the Superior Court in Clayton County.

Following his clerkship, Mr. Mixon joined Foster & Foster, PC, representing Clayton County, Riverdale, and other municipalities, as well as major corporations like Georgia Power, in both state and federal courts across metro Atlanta. His experience also includes serving as in-house counsel for Racetrac Petroleum.

In 1998, Mr. Mixon established his own firm, now known as Millar and Mixon, LLC. He practices throughout metro Atlanta, including Forest Park, Riverdale, Fayetteville, McDonough, Marietta, Douglasville, and Decatur.
