Walter Jospin

Walter Jospin is an accomplished attorney specializing in SEC and securities regulatory enforcement, corporate governance, internal investigations, and SEC Whistleblower Claims. His extensive career includes serving as the Director of the Atlanta Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from February 2015 to January 2018. In this role, Mr. Jospin led over 110 professionals, including lawyers, accountants, and compliance examiners, overseeing Enforcement and Examination programs across Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina. He managed numerous enforcement actions involving financial and accounting fraud, disclosure failures, audit failures, offering frauds, Ponzi schemes, Investment Advisors Act violations, municipal securities, and insider trading.

Before his tenure at the SEC, Mr. Jospin was a partner at the international law firm Paul Hastings LLP. There, he served on the firm's Policy Committee and Unit Committee and chaired the Atlanta Office Corporate Department. His practice at Paul Hastings included corporate governance, internal investigations, securities regulatory enforcement, securities compliance, and corporate transactions.

Mr. Jospin's expertise has been recognized by leading legal directories, including Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, Who’s Who Legal Georgia, Who’s Who of International Mergers & Acquisition Lawyers, Georgia Super Lawyers, and Corporate Counsel Super Lawyers.
