Darryl Stephen Marmon

Darryl Stephen Marmon began his academic journey at the University of Georgia, where he earned his degree in accounting in 1986. During his time there, he was an active member of the Golden Key, Phi Eta Sigma, and Gamma Beta Phi honor societies, as well as the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He then spent two decades at a tax law boutique, serving ultra-high net worth clients, before pursuing a legal education at Emory School of Law.

At Emory, Darryl honed his litigation skills, participating on the Moot Court Board of Directors and Moot Court Special Teams. He was inducted into the prestigious Order of Barristers and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award, along with several American Jurisprudence Awards, graduating in 1991.

Following law school, Darryl gained extensive experience at a litigation office, handling complex claims in both State and Federal courts. In 1998, he co-founded Marmon & Leach, where he spent 25 years litigating intricate civil and business matters. His peers recognized his unique approach to legal challenges, often seeking his expertise in writing briefs and handling motions and appeals.

In 2023, Darryl joined Meriwether & Tharp, drawn by the firm's commitment to resolution and creative problem-solving. His background in accounting and litigation, combined with his genuine concern for clients, makes him a valuable asset in family law.

Outside the office, Darryl enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and two dogs. He holds a black belt in taekwondo and is a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, Miami Dolphins, and Georgia Bulldogs.
