About Joi Reed Fairell
In her early years, Joi Reed Fairell considered becoming a doctor, despite her aversion to math and blood. It wasn't until her sophomore year at Georgia Southern University that she felt a divine calling to pursue law. With no existing resources for Black students on campus, she co-founded the first undergraduate chapter of the Black Law Students Association, offering law school tours, seminars, and prep courses. This initiative became an award-winning model for other institutions.
After earning her degree from the University of Georgia School of Law and passing the bar exam at age 25, Joi began her legal career. Her first job, however, fell short of her expectations, marked by poor client service and delays. A poignant case involving a grandmother seeking custody of her grandchild inspired Joi to resign and establish The Fairell Firm in 2011.
At her firm, Joi emphasizes service, understanding, and quality. The firm utilizes advanced tools like client portals to enhance communication and provide timely updates. Joi leads her team in offering ethical, efficient, and compassionate legal representation, redefining standards in the legal field.
