Tyler Carey

Tyler Carey began his journey in law after growing up in Athens, Ohio, and moving to Augusta, Georgia, to attend Augusta University. During his time there, he was actively involved in the Student Conduct Board and was recognized in the Who’s Who Among American College Students. He then pursued his legal education at Emory University’s School of Law in Loganville, Georgia.

While at Emory, Tyler gained invaluable experience interning for Bryan Frost, which ignited his passion for aiding those facing challenges within the judicial system. Notably, he contributed to an amicus curiae brief for the United States Supreme Court case V.L. v. E.L., which addressed the critical issues of adoption finality and stability. The Supreme Court's decision underscored the necessity for states to honor adoption orders irrespective of sexual orientation.

Tyler's legal expertise is extensive, covering areas such as catastrophic losses from tractor-trailer accidents, medical malpractice, property liability, and negligent hiring. His proficiency in criminal defense is evident in his work on cases ranging from disorderly conduct to armed robbery, ensuring fair trials and accountability within the criminal justice system. Tyler also assists clients in domestic matters, including divorce, child custody, and child support.

Outside of his legal practice, Tyler enjoys spending time on the golf course, watching movies, or with his family, which includes his wife, two children, and their chocolate lab, Clara.
