Marco Corales

Marco A. Corales is a dedicated courtroom advocate specializing in criminal defense. Originally from Miami, Florida, he pursued his legal education at Florida International University and further honed his skills at Wake Forest University School of Law in North Carolina. During his time at Wake Forest, Marco gained practical experience through internships with the Forsyth County Chief District Court Judge and the District Attorney's Office, culminating in his Juris Doctor degree in 2005. His commitment to trial excellence was recognized with the North Carolina Advocates for Justice Award.

After graduating, Marco embarked on his legal career as a criminal corporate attorney with the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office. He adeptly managed a wide array of cases, including traffic violations, DUI, robbery, drug offenses, domestic violence, sex crimes, and homicide. Marco's keen attention to detail and strategic advocacy led to numerous successful outcomes, including critical evidence suppression hearings that often resulted in case dismissals. His negotiation skills frequently achieved reduced charges or pretrial agreements beneficial to his clients.

In 2008, Marco transitioned from the Public Defender’s Office to serve the greater Atlanta area and all Georgia counties with his legal expertise. He is admitted to practice at all levels of Georgia courts, from Municipal and State Courts to the Supreme Court of Georgia. A member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Marco also shares his knowledge by lecturing on criminal law at local Atlanta colleges. Fluent in Spanish, he is committed to supporting Georgia's Latin community in all aspects of criminal defense.
