Michael Roland Bascom

Michael Roland Bascom is a seasoned attorney specializing in estate planning for a diverse clientele, including retirees, young families, older families with aging parents, and entrepreneurs. His approach integrates each client's unique goals and values, offering strategic solutions to ensure peace of mind. Michael is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Florida, and he holds accreditation from the Department of Veteran Affairs to assist veterans and their families with claims.

Michael is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia and the Middle District of Florida. He provides counsel on a wide range of legal matters, including elder law, powers of attorney, wills, revocable living trusts, charitable gifts, irrevocable trusts, LLCs, family limited partnerships, health care advance directives, living wills, incapacity, adult guardianships, probate avoidance, Medicaid eligibility, Veteran’s benefits, probate and estate administration, and trust administration.

Michael has served three terms as the Chairman of the Georgia Forum for the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys and organized the regional conference for the Mid-South Forum. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, WealthCounsel, and ElderCounsel. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Brigham Young University, where he was a Presidential Scholar, and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
