Andrew R Lynch

Andrew R. Lynch found his passion for criminal corporate law while studying at the University of Georgia. His commitment to the field was solidified during his senior year, when a close family member faced a felony drug charge. This experience deeply influenced his decision to attend Georgia State University College of Law, where he earned his J.D. with academic honors and excelled in litigation and advanced criminal procedure. Andrew was recognized for his exceptional pro bono work, including clerkships at the Federal Defender Program in Atlanta, the Center for Capital Litigation in Columbia, South Carolina, and the Dekalb County Public Defender's Office.

After graduating, Andrew began his career as a criminal defense attorney at the Dekalb County Public Defender's Office. He is admitted to practice in all levels of Georgia's courts, including the Georgia Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Superior Court, State Court, Magistrate Court, and Municipal Court. During his time at the Public Defender's Office, Andrew gained significant experience in both felony and misdemeanor trials, representing clients charged with offenses such as murder, armed robbery, drug trafficking, rape, family violence battery, and DUI.

Andrew has also handled numerous pre-trial motions and hearings, including bond hearings, preliminary hearings, motions to suppress, and pretrial negotiations. He is an active member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (GACDL) and contributes to the Educational Services Committee.

Recently, Andrew participated in the 10th Annual Bill Daniel's Trial Advocacy Program, an exclusive training program focusing on advanced trial techniques. Following his tenure at the Public Defender's Office, Andrew established his own law firm, specializing in aggressive criminal defense. He believes in preparing every case as if it will go to trial, which empowers him to achieve favorable pre-trial resolutions and effectively represent his clients in court when necessary.
