Anson Houston Asbury

Anson H. Asbury, J.D., LL.M., serves as the Managing Shareholder of Asbury Law Firm, where he focuses on civil and criminal tax litigation as well as federal tax controversies. His expertise is widely recognized, earning him accolades from Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Georgia Super Lawyers, and Georgia’s Legal Elite.

Anson is a distinguished fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and a Barrister in the J. Edgar Murdock American Inn of Court at the United States Tax Court. He actively contributes to the legal community as the Vice-Chair of the Court Practice and Procedure Committee of the American Bar Association Section on Taxation and is a past chair of the Atlanta Bar Association Tax Law Section.

In addition to his legal practice, Anson co-hosts the educational series Tax Talk with Art and Anson, a GSPCA video CPE series. His insights on tax issues have been featured in The Practical Tax Lawyer and quoted in national publications such as the Washington Post.

Anson's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University, a Juris Doctor from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, and an LL.M. in taxation with distinction from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is also a retired officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and formerly served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph Gale of the United States Tax Court.
