About Missy Torgerson
During her undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina, Missy Torgerson discovered her passion for employment law. Since then, she has dedicated her career to advocating for the lawful treatment of employees and pursuing justice when their rights are compromised.
While attending Emory Law School, Missy served as the Director of Communications and Events for the Emory Law Moot Court Society. She successfully organized three conferences for the Legal Association of Women Students. Her active participation in the Moot Court Society included competing in the Cardozo BMI Entertainment Law Competition, where she and her teammate reached the semi-final round. Additionally, she held the position of Vice President for the Labor and Employment Law Society and frequently mentored younger students, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing future talent in labor and employment law.
In April 2019, Missy was recognized with the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers 2019 Outstanding Law Student Award from Emory University. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys visiting Six Flags and spending time with her cat. A fervent supporter of the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Erskine Flying Fleet, where her sister plays volleyball, Missy also enjoys exploring the local music scene and reading.
