Joi Reed Fairell

Joi Reed Fairell embarked on her legal career with a vision to transform legal services in Dekalb County, Georgia. Initially considering a medical career, Joi found her true calling in law during her time at Georgia Southern University. Inspired by a family friend's suggestion and guided by faith, she shifted her focus from pre-med to law.

Faced with limited resources for Black students, Joi co-founded the first undergraduate chapter of the Black Law Students Association at her university. This initiative provided students with law school tours, seminars, and prep courses, setting a benchmark for other institutions.

Joi achieved her dream of attending the University of Georgia School of Law, graduating at 25 and passing the bar exam shortly thereafter. Her initial legal experiences were eye-opening, as she encountered practices that clashed with her values. A turning point was witnessing a grandmother's custody case suffer due to systemic delays, motivating her to establish The Fairell Firm in 2011.

At The Fairell Firm, Joi is dedicated to delivering excellence through service, expertise, and quality results. Her firm prioritizes empathy and client communication, utilizing advanced tools like client portals for seamless case updates. Joi's leadership is redefining legal standards, ensuring clients receive ethical and efficient representation.
