Peter Olson

Peter S.R. Olson offers comprehensive legal services in Captain Cook, Hawaii, focusing on litigation, transactional law, and business formation. Born and raised in South Kona, he has deep roots in the Big Island community.

Peter is the son of John L. Olson, the firm's founder, and has been involved with the firm from an early age. He earned his Juris Doctor and Environmental Law Certificate from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa's William S. Richardson School of Law in 2005. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Glenn S. Hara in the Third Circuit Court in Hilo.

Peter then served as a Deputy Public Defender for the State of Hawai`i, gaining significant experience in both Bench and Jury Trials. From 2007 to 2010, he practiced in the Appellate, District, and Family Courts on O`ahu, Honolulu.

Beyond his legal career, Peter is an avid outrigger canoe paddler and a lifelong student of Hawaiian history, language, and environment. He has traversed Hawai`i's challenging channels, including the `Alenuihaha, Pailolo, and Kaiwi channels, showcasing his dedication and passion for the sport.
