Clarisse Kobashigawa

Clarisse Kobashigawa is a dedicated legal professional with a focus on civil litigation, encompassing areas such as plaintiff’s personal injury, complex commercial business litigation, real property, land use disputes, and employment law. With fifteen years in private practice, Clarisse has honed her skills in jury trials within Hawaii's federal and state courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution settings like arbitration and mediation.

Clarisse's extensive experience includes handling cases involving personal injury civil litigation under 42 U.S.C. §1983, toxic torts, pharmaceutical litigation, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death. She has represented diverse personal, economic, and business interests across various forums, including federal and state circuit courts, condominium and homeowners’ association disputes, and through mediation and arbitration.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Clarisse earned her B.A. in Political Science from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and her Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. During her time at Hamline, she was awarded the CALI Award for excellence in Commercial Law (Secured Transactions).

Outside of her professional commitments, Clarisse enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is also actively involved in preserving Okinawan culture through her participation in the Hawaii United Okinawan Association.
