Todd E. Ungerecht earned his Juris Doctor from Gonzaga School of Law in 1990. Following his graduation, he began his legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney at the Franklin County Prosecuting Counsel's Office in Pasco, Washington. There, he prosecuted misdemeanors and was appointed Chief Civil Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, where he advised the Board of Franklin County Commissioners and other county officials on civil legal matters.
In private practice, Todd has gained extensive experience in estate planning, family law, landlord/tenant issues, insurance defense, and criminal defense. His diverse expertise has been honed over several years in small law firms.
Todd's career also includes substantial roles within the federal government. He has served as an attorney and counsel in both the legislative and executive branches, assisting Members of Congress and Senators with natural resources policies, legislation, ethics rules, and investigations. His responsibilities extended to advising the Chairman and Ranking Members of two major U.S. House Committees, as well as managing a large committee staff and budget.
Currently, Todd operates a solo law practice in Boise and Meridian, Idaho. He leverages his legal expertise to assist clients with estate planning, family law, and other legal matters. Additionally, his government affairs experience allows him to consult on Northwest natural resources and energy issues. Todd is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court of Idaho.
