John H. George Jr.

John H. George Jr. began his educational journey at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he graduated in 1990 with a degree in History, complemented by minors in Philosophy and Humanities. He further advanced his legal education by earning his Juris Doctor from the Arizona State University College of Law in Tempe in 1995.

Following law school, John served as a Case Manager for the Southwest Key Program in Arizona, focusing on the reunification of juvenile family members involved in immigration proceedings. In 1997, he transitioned to the Kootenai County Public Defender’s Office in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, where he provided criminal defense services to clients who could not afford legal representation.

After several years, John moved into private practice, offering expertise in Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Criminal Defense. By 2006, he had become a managing partner, overseeing the firm's Family Law practice.

John is recognized as an Idaho Supreme Court-approved Family Law Mediator, respected for his mediation skills within the North Idaho legal community. He also serves as court-appointed legal counsel for children in custody disputes. His professional affiliations include membership in the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association.

From 1997 to 2000, John was a Lecturer at the Alcohol Information and Traffic Safety School at Aspen Behavioral Counseling Center in Post Falls, Idaho. He maintains an active membership with the Idaho State Bar Association.
