Robie Russell

Robie Russell is the principal at Russell Law Offices, which provides comprehensive legal services from its offices in Seattle's Pioneer Square and Boise's Empire Building. The firm specializes in environmental, natural resource, real estate, and business law, serving a diverse clientele that includes individuals, corporations, public agencies, and start-ups. In addition to litigation, the firm offers mediation, trustee, and business management services.

Before founding Russell Law Offices, Mr. Russell was of counsel at Neubauer Hunsinger and Ryan Swanson in Seattle. His notable public service includes his role as Regional Administrator for the EPA's Region 10 from 1986 to 1990. During this period, he played a pivotal role in negotiating the Tri-Party Agreement for the Hanford nuclear site cleanup and managed the Alaska Oil Spill response. His international experience includes leading USEPA delegations to China, the Philippines, and Canada, and participating in a scientific and legal delegation to the Soviet Union and Poland.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Russell served as Deputy Attorney General for Idaho, overseeing the Natural Resource and Local Government Divisions. His background also includes a position as Administrative Coordinator for the Idaho Department of Environmental Protection and Health.

Mr. Russell holds undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Idaho and has completed arbitration and mediation training through the American Arbitration Association. He is admitted to practice in the bars of Idaho, Washington, and all federal courts. His professional affiliations include the environmental and land use sections of the Idaho and Washington State Bar Associations, as well as the Natural Resource and Environmental Sections of the American Bar Association.
