David S. Olshansky

David S. Olshansky specializes in domestic criminal defense, addressing issues such as domestic battery, violations of orders of protection, and both defending and assisting in order of protection proceedings. His practice is primarily based in Chicago at the Domestic Courthouse on 555 W. Harrison St., but he has extensive experience across Illinois and has practiced Pro Hac Vice in multiple states.

Mr. Olshansky was born in Chicago and earned his B.B.A. with Honors from the University of Miami, Florida, in 1997. He then obtained his Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2000, where he received several CALI awards for academic excellence. Admitted by the Supreme Court to the Illinois Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2000, he is known for his commitment to criminal defense and is highly respected by his peers.

Throughout his career, Mr. Olshansky has been actively involved in numerous professional organizations. He is, or has been, affiliated with the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Northbrook Bar Association, and the Women’s Criminal Defense Bar Association.
