David J. Starshak

David J. Starshak is a skilled attorney practicing in Aurora, Illinois. He earned his degree from Kansas State University, where he played a pivotal role in the university's first national-qualifying Trial Team. As head of the university’s judicial system, David advocated for victims of sexual harassment, theft, and property damage, representing their interests before student and faculty judicial review boards.

After completing his undergraduate studies, David relocated to Chicago to pursue a legal education at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he graduated with a Juris Doctor, cum laude. During his time at Chicago-Kent, David excelled on the Moot Court team, reaching the finals or semi-finals in all prior competitions. His team was among the top eight at the National Moot Court Competition in New York City.

In 2014, David was honored with the CALI award in Litigation Technology. He contributed significantly as a Notes and Comments Editor for Chicago-Kent’s Law Review and as a Staff Editor for the Seventh Circuit Review. His writings have been published in the Seventh Circuit Review and by the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education.
