Anna M. Benjamin

Anna M. Benjamin is a dedicated attorney at Meyer Capel, joining the firm as a full-time associate after an impressive stint as a law clerk. She graduated with a juris doctorate from the University of Illinois in 2008, where she achieved multiple academic honors, including being a Lincoln Scholar from 2005 to 2008. Anna was recognized on the Dean's List in 2006 and 2007 and served as a teaching assistant for the 'Introduction to United States Law' course in fall 2006. Her academic excellence was further highlighted by earning the 'Distinction of Honors in Legal Writing and Analysis' in 2005 and the 'Best Advocate' Trial Advocacy Award in 2007.

Anna's prowess in trademark law and courtroom skills led her to advance from internal to regional moot court competitions. In 2008, she participated in the prestigious Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition, sponsored by the International Trademark Association. During her law school years, Anna was actively involved in extracurricular activities, contributing as a cases writer and editor for the Illinois Law Update section of the Illinois Bar Journal. She was also a member of the University of Illinois College of Law Trial Team, competing in the ABA Labor and Employment Law Trial Advocacy Competition, where her team secured third place, as well as the National Trial Competition. From 2007 to 2008, Anna held the position of vice president of the Myra Bradwell Association for Women Law Students.

Before pursuing her legal education, Anna completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri, earning a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology. Her academic journey included a semester abroad in Seville, Spain, enriching her educational experience.
