Forrest J. Heyman

Forrest J. Heyman began his legal career as a summer associate in 2011, transitioning to an associate lawyer after his admission to the Illinois Bar in 2012. His practice areas encompass business planning, corporate transactions, real estate, and estate planning and administration.

A native of Paxton, Illinois, Forrest brings a unique international perspective to his work. He graduated with honors from Butler University in 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science in economics. During his studies, Forrest spent a semester in Hong Kong and was recognized as Sigma Nu National Man of the Year.

Forrest gained valuable experience at The Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington, where he worked in procurement, accounting, finance, and human resources. In 2009, he returned to Illinois to attend the University of Illinois College of Law. Forrest interned with Judge Jeffrey Sherlock of Montana’s First Judicial District Court in 2010.

At law school, he served as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing and Analysis and contributed as an associate editor for the Elder Law Journal. His courtroom experience was further enhanced through the Civil Litigation Clinic and Community Preservation Clinic, where he represented divorce victims and tenants.

Forrest is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Champaign County Bar Association. He resides in Savoy with his wife, Laura.
