Anna M. Benjamin

Anna M. Benjamin, an attorney based in Champaign, Illinois, brings a wealth of experience and accolades to her role at Meyer Capel. Having previously served as a law clerk, she now contributes as a full-time associate.

Anna graduated with a juris doctorate from the University of Illinois in 2008, achieving commendable honors such as cum laude. Her academic journey was marked by her status as a Lincoln Scholar from 2005 to 2008, and she was recognized on the Dean's List in 2006 and 2007. Additionally, she served as a teaching assistant for the "Introduction to United States Law" course in fall 2006. Her prowess in legal writing was acknowledged with the "Distinction of Honors in Legal Writing and Analysis" in 2005, and she won the "Best Advocate" Trial Advocacy Award in 2007.

Anna's courtroom acumen and trademark law expertise were further demonstrated through her progression from internal to regional moot court competitions. In 2008, she participated in the prestigious Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition, sponsored by the International Trademark Association.

During her time in law school, Anna actively contributed as a cases writer and editor for the Illinois Law Update section of the Illinois Bar Journal. As a member of the University of Illinois College of Law Trial Team, she competed in the ABA Labor and Employment Law Trial Advocacy Competition, securing a third-place finish, and participated in the National Trial Competition. She also held the position of vice president of the Myra Bradwell Association for Women Law Students from 2007 to 2008.

Before embarking on her legal education, Anna earned a bachelor of arts in anthropology from the University of Missouri, which included a semester abroad in Seville, Spain.
