David Porter

David Porter is a highly experienced advocate for employees in Chicago, Illinois. He holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan (1982) and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University (1985). After completing his education, Mr. Porter practiced law in New York for a decade before relocating to Illinois in 1995 to be closer to family, where he continues his private practice.

For the past three decades, Mr. Porter has focused his practice on employment law, representing employees against both large and small employers in New York and Illinois. His extensive experience covers negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation of claims, including retaliation, discrimination based on age, race, pregnancy, sex, disability, and national origin, as well as FMLA, breach of contract, non-compete agreements, wage and hour claims, and unemployment hearings.
