Cari F. Silverman joined Levin & Perconti in October 2011 and was admitted to the Illinois State Bar the following month. As an associate counsel, she focuses on personal injury and wrongful death cases, including nursing home abuse, medical negligence, car and trucking accidents, and product and premises liability.
In September 2014, Cari was recognized by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company as one of the "40 Illinois Attorneys Under 40 to Watch." Cari's notable achievements include a $592,000 verdict for medical negligence in her first jury trial as second chair in 2012. In 2024, she received a Trial Excellence Award for a $40 million birth injury verdict, marking the highest medical malpractice verdict in Coles County. She also secured a $27 million settlement for a child suffering from preventable HIE and asphyxia at birth, a $12 million verdict for a failure to diagnose lung cancer, and a $7 million FTCA wrongful death jury verdict.
Cari earned her law degree from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2011. During law school, she was a Judicial Clerk to Associate Judge Brian McPheters of the Sixth Judicial District in Champaign County, a Staff Writer for the Illinois Business Law Journal, an Ambassador for the College of Law, and President of the Jewish Law Society. Prior to law school, Cari completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Finance with High Honors in 2008.
