Jon P. Erickson

Jon P. Erickson, formally known as Jonathan Parker Erickson, is a well-respected attorney based in Decatur, Illinois. A product of Decatur's public school system, Jon earned his J.D. from Southern Illinois University in 1999 and was admitted to the State of Illinois Bar in 2000.

Jon began his legal career as an Assistant State's Counsel for Macon County, serving from Spring 2000 until December 2000. He then joined the law office of Erickson, Davis, Murphy, Johnson, Griffith & Walsh, LTD, where he quickly rose to partner status and worked alongside his father, Fred Erickson, for nearly two decades.

On August 1, 2017, Jon embarked on a new chapter as a sole practitioner, focusing exclusively on divorce law and family members law. His practice areas include juvenile law, Orders of Protection, guardianship claims involving children, DCFS claims, Civil No-Contact Orders, adoption matters, and criminal defense for domestic-related offenses.

Jon is an active member of both the Illinois State Bar Association and the Decatur Bar Association. Although his office is based in Decatur, Macon County, he frequently handles cases in neighboring counties, providing dedicated legal services across the region.
