Andrew Stoltmann

Andrew Stoltmann is a dedicated attorney and investor advocate headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois. He specializes in representing victims of investment fraud, having managed over a thousand cases in lawsuits and securities arbitration against firms such as Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Wachovia, Linsco, Prudential, Baird, Edward Jones, AG Edwards, and Smith Barney. With approximately 80 trials to his credit, Mr. Stoltmann brings extensive experience to his practice.

Before founding the Stoltmann Law Offices P.C., he was a partner at a law firm that also focused on investor representation in lawsuits, arbitration claims, and class actions against brokerage firms. Mr. Stoltmann serves as an adjunct professor of securities law at Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, imparting his expertise to future legal professionals.

He is a Board of Directors member of the Public Investor Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), an international body of attorneys dedicated to representing investors in securities disputes. From 2001 to 2005, he was the Editor-In-Chief of the PIABA Bar Journal. He also co-authored “Investor Entitlements for the Year 2000 and Beyond.”

Recognized for his litigation skills, Mr. Stoltmann was named an Illinois litigation Rising Star from 2008 to 2012 and a 2014 Super Lawyer by his peers. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and began his career as a licensed stockbroker with Olde Discount and Merrill Lynch.

During his time at DePaul University for his law degree, he clerked at the Chicago NASD Dispute Resolution office, now known as FINRA, where he gained significant experience in securities arbitration. Mr. Stoltmann is a frequent guest on networks such as CNN, CNBC, BBC, CBC, CBS, CNN-FN, Bloomberg TV, and National Public Radio, offering legal analysis and commentary. His insights have been featured in numerous publications.
