Brett A. Appelman

In 2007, Brett A. Appelman established Appelman Law LLC with a commitment to protecting the rights of individuals accused of crimes. His approach emphasizes delivering top-tier litigation services to all defendants, regardless of the charges. Brett personally oversees the most intricate cases at the firm, managing offenses such as Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, and Aggravated Sexual Assault, as well as repeat DUI offenses.

Brett's successful defense portfolio includes a wide range of criminal charges, from DUI, Aggravated Battery, and Solicitation, to Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, Tax Evasion, and Felony Drug Possession and Delivery. Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Brett completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan. He then earned a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, followed by a law degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Before founding his firm, Brett began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Kane County, Illinois, where he skillfully defended numerous DUI and Driving While Suspended cases, along with various Misdemeanors. Notably, he was a defense attorney on the Treatment Alternative Court board, a mental health court in Kane County. A significant achievement in Brett's career occurred in 2016 when he achieved a Not Guilty By Reason Of Insanity verdict in a felony trial.
