He earned his law degree cum laude from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2014, contributing as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical and Practical Law. His academic journey started at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Communications. During his undergraduate years, he was actively involved as Student Government President, a member of the Model Illinois Government Moot Court Team, and a Pi Sigma Alpha inductee.

Mr. McCormick has been practicing law in Illinois since 2014 and expanded his licensure to Wisconsin in 2022.
