Anthony R. Scifo

Anthony R. Scifo has been a licensed attorney in Illinois since November 2007, with extensive experience in civil litigation, particularly in household law and probate litigation. As a Court-approved Guardian ad Litem, he serves in the Family Law Divisions of Kane, DuPage, Kendall, and DeKalb Counties, and in the Adoption and Probate Divisions of Kane County.

Anthony is also a seasoned Family Law Mediator in DuPage, DeKalb, and Kendall Counties. In November 2015, he was invited by INADR to judge the 16th Annual International Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament at Drake University Law School, collaborating with mediators from across the country, many of whom are prominent in academia.

In Kane County, Anthony is a Court-approved Arbitration Judge, frequently scheduled for this role. He contributed as a bi-monthly legal columnist for the Kane County Chronicle from 2013 to 2014, covering general legal matters. Additionally, he authored five publications for the Kane County Bar Briefs, discussing topics such as the Servicemember Civil Relief Act and the Illinois Loss Recovery Act.

Starting July 2016, Anthony will serve as Assistant Editor for the Bar Briefs, the journal of the Kane County Bar Association. He will also chair the Estate & Probate Collegium Committee, focusing on complex legal issues in probate administration and litigation. Committed to community service, Anthony volunteers for the Kane County "Lawyer in the Library" Pro Bono Program, assisting with family law matters.
