Hannah Blackwell

Hannah C. Blackwell launched Blackwell Law, LLC in 2023, focusing on serving immigrant communities, a cause she has championed throughout her career. Her dedication to immigration law began in her youth after witnessing an ICE raid's impact in her hometown. This experience ignited her commitment to advocate for the rights of undocumented individuals and their families.

Hannah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing with cum laude honors and a President’s Award for volunteerism, alongside a minor in Political Science from Miami University in 2018. She completed her J.D. and Certificate in Public Interest Law at DePaul University College of Law in 2022 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar that same year.

With personal experience in the service industry, Hannah appreciates the resilience and hard work of immigrant communities in the U.S. She is dedicated to assisting everyday individuals, single parents, and laborers striving to make ends meet. Her empathy drives her to creatively advocate for immigrants and their families seeking to regularize their status.

Hannah has collaborated with organizations like The Resurrection Project, Erie Neighborhood House, Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, and Lawyers in the Classroom. Her commitment to pro bono work and volunteerism is evident in her efforts to aid low-income and indigent communities.

She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Hannah is fluent in both Spanish and English.
