Angela Henderson

Angela Henderson is a distinguished family law attorney operating in Joliet, Illinois. She earned both her undergraduate and Juris Doctorate degrees from DePaul University in Chicago. Admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1997, Angela's legal journey began in law school where she engaged in the mediation clinic after completing two semesters of mediation training. She also gained practical experience in family law through Chicago Volunteer Judicial Services under a 711 license.

Angela initially established her practice with offices in Hinsdale and Lemont, but nine years ago, she chose to consolidate her focus to Joliet. Her practice is dedicated to family law, where she excels as a Guardian ad Litem and Mediator.

Before her legal career, Angela had a successful business background, owning and managing four office supply stores, a Hallmark store, and two travel agencies. This experience enhances her understanding of income streams and business valuation in family law cases. Angela is committed to community service, having served two terms as president of the Lemont Chamber of Commerce, taught Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) through Downers Township Human Services, and held the role of PTA vice-president. She has also presented at the Illinois State Police Juvenile Division Conference on Youth.

Angela's dedication to community involvement continues as she coaches the mediation team at Lewis University, which has achieved regional and national recognition, including a special invitation to compete in Liverpool, England. She actively participates in seminars focused on the psychological effects of divorce on children, attending events such as the AFCC Symposium on Child Custody Evaluations in New Mexico and the International ADR Society Congress in Iowa.

Additionally, Angela Henderson serves as the chair of the Guardian ad Litem Committee of the Will County Bar Association, further solidifying her leadership in the legal community.
