Kevin G. Drendel

Kevin G. Drendel is a seasoned attorney based in Kane County, Illinois, with extensive experience in litigation and local government law. He graduated cum laude from Cornell College and earned his law degree magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law. During his time at Northern Illinois University, he contributed to the Law Review and published an article in the NIU Law Review (1990), and was honored with the West Publishing Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement.

Kevin is admitted to practice in all Illinois State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association and has held various leadership roles within the Kane County Bar Association, including Director, Secretary/Treasurer, 1st Vice President, and President. His committee involvement includes the Local Government Law Committee, Estate & Probate, Website, Membership, Judicial Evaluation, Appellate Practice, and the Delivery of Litigation Services Committees. Additionally, he served on the Board of the Kane County Bar Foundation and is a member of the Community Foundation Council of Professional Advisors.

Kevin's professional affiliations extend to the Fox Valley Music Foundation, where he serves on the Board of Directors, and the North Aurora Lion’s Club. He is also a long-standing member of the Christian Legal Society and the Illinois Municipal League. His past roles include membership in the Fox Valley Estate Planning Council and the Illinois Institute for Local Governmental Law, as well as serving as Secretary for the Illinois Chapter of the National Association of Telecommunication Officials & Advisors.

In his current capacity, Kevin is the General Counsel for the Village of North Aurora and the City of Batavia. He also contributes to Administer Justice, both at the national level and within the Chicago Suburban region, and supervises the Aurora Legal Aid Clinic.
