About Matthew Shaw
Matthew Shaw graduated Magna Cum Laude from Illinois College with a Bachelor of Arts in 1983 and earned his Juris Doctorate from the Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1986. He became a Licensed Lawyer in Illinois on November 6, 1986. His early career involved roles in general and family law practices, including serving as the Child Support attorney for the Kane County Circuit Court Clerk from 1987 to 1995.
In 1991, Mr. Shaw established his own practice, concentrating on family law. By 2000, he co-founded Shaw, Jacobs & Associates, P.C. in St. Charles, Illinois, focusing on family law issues such as dissolution of marriage, financial disputes, and custody litigation.
