Sandra Petras Bruckner

Sandra Petras Bruckner brings over three decades of judicial experience, skillfully guiding clients through intricate financial issues while preserving family assets during transitions. Known for her analytical prowess and compassionate approach, she respects each client's unique needs and concerns.

As a trained household law mediator and collaborative attorney, Sandra advocates for mediation and collaborative processes to effectively resolve family-related legal disputes. She assists clients in clarifying their legal challenges, assessing their situations, and reaching resolutions that ensure peace of mind.

Before co-founding Bruckner Hernandez Legal Solutions, LLC with Rachel Hernandez, Sandra served as Deputy Director of the Children’s Advocacy Center in Kane County. Her extensive prosecutorial experience includes handling cases across traffic, misdemeanor, child support, juvenile delinquency, neglect, and felony categories. Since 1999, Sandra has been in private practice, addressing family law, personal injury, social security disability, real estate, commercial, and civil litigation cases.

Sandra is an active member of the Kane County Bar Association, DeKalb County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, and the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts.

She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1986 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1983. Sandra currently assists clients with family law matters at Bruckner Hernandez Legal Solutions, LLC.
