About Benjamin Douglas Strahm
Benjamin Douglas Strahm was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, where he majored in Political Science and graduated with honors. During law school, he actively participated in the Moot Court Board, serving as its Chairman. His academic excellence was recognized with awards such as the Leadership Achievement Award, Frank Harper Achievement Award, and Moot Court Board Chairman Awards.
After completing law school, Benjamin began his legal career as a certified legal intern with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in the Narcotics Division. In 2009, he became a Deputy Prosecuting Lawyer, starting in Misdemeanor Court and advancing to the D Felony division. By 2011, he was appointed as one of the two Gang prosecutors and later served as a Major Felony Drug Prosecutor. In the Major Felony Division, he handled cases involving murder, robbery, attempted murder, and aggravated battery. He transitioned to private practice in 2015, focusing on criminal law, family law, and general litigation.
Benjamin's military service includes time with the 101st Airborne/Air Assault Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and the 2nd Infantry Division in South Korea. In 2011, he rejoined the Indiana Army National Guard as a First Lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps. He was deployed to Kuwait in 2012 with the 38th Sustainment Brigade for Operation Enduring Freedom and again in 2019 with the 38th Infantry Division for Operation Spartan Shield. Currently, he holds the rank of Major and serves as the Chief of Military Justice with the 38th Infantry Division in Indianapolis, Indiana.
