Simranjit Kaur

Simranjit Kaur serves as a Junior Associate Attorney at Stange Law Firm, where she focuses on family law in the Indianapolis, Indiana office. She offers empathetic and diligent representation to individuals facing emotional family law challenges in Marion County and surrounding regions.

Simranjit earned her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in May 2024. During her academic tenure, she actively participated in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, Women’s Law Caucus, and Business Law Society. Prior to her legal studies, she completed a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Michigan.

Before joining Stange Law Firm, Simranjit gained diverse legal experience, representing public school districts and organizations in civil entitlements defense. She handled claims under Title VII, the ADA, and Section 1983, excelling in motion practice, agency responses, and discovery planning.

Simranjit also has a proven track record in immigration law, assisting clients with naturalization, J-1 waivers, family-based adjustments, and work permit renewals. She has supported asylum seekers through detailed memoranda and motions in complex immigration proceedings.

In addition to her family law expertise, Simranjit has courtroom experience in criminal law, managing preliminary examinations, conferences, and plea agreements, while contributing to trial preparations.
