Lisa A. Berdine

Lisa A. Berdine earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a Minor in Philosophy from Purdue University Calumet. She then pursued her legal education at Valparaiso University School of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctor degree. In 2004, she was admitted to the Supreme Court of the State of Indiana and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern District of Indiana.

After completing her education, Lisa gained valuable experience at the City of Hammond Judicial Aid Clinic. As an associate counsel, she represented clients of limited means across various civil law matters, honing her skills in family law, landlord-tenant law, and real estate law.

In 2007, Lisa established her private law firm in Hammond, Indiana, where she focuses on a broad range of civil matters and criminal defense. Her commitment to legal education is evident in her role as an adjunct professor at Purdue University Calumet in Hammond, where she has taught American government for the past five years.

Lisa is an active member of both the Indiana State Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association. She was recognized as a nominee for the 2012 Northwest Indiana Most Influential Women award in the category of "Up-And-Coming Woman of the Year in Law". Additionally, she serves on the Women and the Law Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association.
