Clifford Whitehead

Cliff Whitehead, an associate attorney based in Evansville, Indiana, focuses his practice on Litigation in both local and federal trial courts. He adeptly advises clients through various business stages, including start-up, contract formation, and employer-employee relations. His expertise extends to disputes in commercial law—covering contracts, breach of fiduciary duty, and business torts—and employment matters, such as discrimination, FMLA, harassment, and ADA compliance.

Cliff provides counsel to several government entities, including the City of Evansville and the Warrick County Council. In recognition of his professional promise, he was named an “Up and Coming Lawyer” by the Indiana Lawyer in 2014. Born and raised in Evansville, Cliff earned his B.A. in Political Sciences and Philosophy from Boston University in 2006, where he was actively involved as a staff writer for the university's Daily No-cost Press, a debate team member, and the Boston University Club Tennis Champion.

He graduated cum laude with a law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2009. During his studies, Cliff gained invaluable experience at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office and received the Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence for completing over 250 hours of pro bono work. He also participated in the law school's Street Law Program, teaching constitutional law at a local high school.

Before joining the firm, Cliff served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Marion County, Indiana, where he prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases, acting as lead counsel in numerous jury and bench trials. Additionally, he held the position of Assistant Corporation Counsel for the city of Indianapolis, defending the city in diverse litigation matters, including employment, civil rights, personal injury, and education cases in state and federal courts.
