Clarissa Finnell

Clarissa Finnell, a counsel at Schultz & Pogue, has dedicated her career to family law, providing representation in complex disputes such as divorce, child support, custody, paternity, and adoption. With 24 years of practice, she is known for her litigation skills in managing high-volume, contested cases. Ms. Finnell is also a trained collaborative attorney, helping clients resolve family law issues outside of court.

Ms. Finnell graduated from Indiana University with a degree in criminal justice and earned her Juris Doctor from IU's School of Law-Indianapolis in 1997. Her early career included eight years at the Indianapolis Law Aid Society and another family law firm in Indianapolis, focusing on divorce, custody, and paternity, particularly involving father's rights.

As a Registered Domestic Mediator, Ms. Finnell served as the 2020 Chair of the ADR section of the Indianapolis Bar Association. She is a member of several bar associations, including the Indianapolis, Boone County, and Hamilton County Bar Associations, as well as the AFCC and Indiana Association of Mediators. Recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2011 and 2012, she was highlighted as a top up-and-coming attorney in Indiana.

Ms. Finnell actively participates in pro bono work, contributing to programs like the IBA's Ask a Lawyer and "Legal Line" services.
