Pete Larkin

Pete Larkin launched his legal career with the Social Security Administration (SSA) in 2010 as a Legal Professional Advisor in the Office of Hearings Operations for the Iowa region. He worked intimately with Administrative Law Judges, legal assistants, and fellow attorneys to manage a substantial caseload of disability claims, including Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disputes. Throughout his tenure, Pete honed his skills in the SSA's five-step disability evaluation process, contributing to the processing of thousands of claims.

His dedication to operational excellence and fair adjudication earned him a promotion to Supervisory Legal Counsel Advisor. In this capacity, he oversaw hearing schedules, managed case flow, and developed strategies for identifying claims eligible for expedited favorable decisions. This leadership role further solidified his expertise in the intricacies of disability law.

Leveraging his comprehensive knowledge from 15 years of federal service, Pete transitioned to private practice in 2025, establishing Larkin Law. His firm is dedicated to representing claimants in the complex disability appeals process, providing expert guidance and advocacy.
