Matthew Bollman

Matthew Bollman, a distinguished attorney at Pearson Bollman Law, provides expert legal counsel in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, elder law, and Medicaid planning. His practice is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he is dedicated to assisting families with their legal needs.

Matthew's academic journey began at the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned a degree in Economics in 1995. He furthered his education by obtaining a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, College of Law in 2000. After graduating, he gained valuable experience in Seattle and Phoenix before returning to Iowa in 2008 to embrace the family-friendly environment.

In 2010, Matthew became a VA Accredited Legal Counsel, enhancing his ability to serve veterans. By January 2011, he joined forces with Phyllis Pearson in litigation work. His practice primarily focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law. Matthew is also an accomplished speaker, delivering presentations on topics such as "The Top Ten Estate Planning Mistakes," "What is Probate? How to Avoid It," and "Understanding VA Pension Benefits."

Matthew is actively involved in several professional organizations, including WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, the Iowa Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Polk County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and Beta Gamma Sigma.
