Nicholas Hay

Nicholas Hay has spent his entire life in Iowa, with a deep commitment to serving the community through his legal practice. His journey in law began in Northeast Iowa, where he first arrived after receiving a job offer following law school. Although it took him 25 years to discover this part of the state, he quickly embraced it. Nicholas initially worked at a small general practice office in Waukon for approximately four years before embarking on his own path.

In June 2015, Nicholas established his own firm, Hay Law, P.L.C., where he has since dedicated the majority of his practice to criminal law. His work ranges from handling traffic violations to defending clients against civil rights infringements by law enforcement. His passion for zealously defending the accused is the cornerstone of his career.

Nicholas's personal life is equally fulfilling. In April 2015, he married his wife, whom he met in law school. She chose a different path, deciding early on to pursue a career outside of law. The couple relocated to Decorah in May 2016, which prompted Nicholas to make his firm entirely mobile, allowing him to meet clients at convenient locations for consultations.
