Sheila Hiestand

Sheila Hiestand, affectionately referred to as “The Lady Litigator,” is a dedicated personal injury attorney based in Bardstown, Kentucky. Her legal journey is marked by a commitment to helping women and their families navigate the challenging process of personal injury claims. With more than 20 years of experience, Sheila has achieved significant results for her clients, including a notable $743,000 verdict in a 2013 auto accident case. The jury's unanimous decision covered various damages, such as medical expenses, loss of earning capacity, and permanent injury.

Sheila's leadership in the legal community is evident through her role as a former president of the Kentucky Trial Lawyers with the Kentucky Justice Association. A graduate of Centre College, Sheila went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky School of Law. Beyond her legal work, Sheila is a devoted family person, enjoying time with her husband and three children.

In her personal life, Sheila is an avid athlete, participating in triathlons and Ironman competitions. She is musically talented, playing the viola, violin, cello, and piano, and has been a member of the Lexington Singers. Sheila is fluent in Spanish and has generously volunteered at the Federal Correctional Institute, providing pro bono legal assistance to Spanish-speaking inmates.
