Troy DeMuth

Troy DeMuth concentrates his legal work on Family Law, handling cases involving divorce, child custody, child harm and neglect, domestic violence, child support, and adoption. As a certified Family Court mediator, he also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem, advocating for children's interests, and as a Friend of Court, offering recommendations on child-related issues.

Throughout his career, Troy has held key leadership positions, including President of the Association of Parent’s Attorneys of Louisville and President of the Guardian Ad Litem’s Association of Louisville. He has also chaired the Family Law Section of the Louisville Bar Association. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), Troy is recognized for his expertise in matrimonial law.

In addition to his practice, Troy has contributed to legal education as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, where he taught Family Law and Mediation skills. His work extends to serving as a counsel consultant for the Casey Family Programs foundation's Judicial Engagement Team, aiding courts nationwide in refining practices for child mistreatment and neglect cases.
