Tara Jones

Tara Jones, originally from Oxford, Ohio, has cultivated deep community connections throughout her career. She earned her BA degree from Miami University in 1996. Following a year of professional experience in Atlanta, Georgia, she joined the Mercy Health System in Cincinnati, focusing on public relations.

Tara pursued her legal education at the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, where she distinguished herself as Editor-in-Chief of the Northern Kentucky Law Review. Her scholarly contributions include a published article on the Americans with Disabilities Act in the Southern Illinois University Law Review.

After completing her law degree, Tara gained three years of experience with a law firm in northern Kentucky. In 2006, she returned to Oxford, Ohio, where she practiced law until 2021. Currently, she provides freelance legal services, assisting law firms with estate planning, probate estates, and general business issues. Tara is admitted to practice law in both Ohio and Kentucky.

Tara's commitment to community service is evident through her leadership roles as Past-President of the Oxford Kiwanis Club and the Oxford Complimentary Clinic. She is also a member of the Knolls of Oxford Fund Development Committee and has served as a civil hearing examiner for the City of Oxford.
