Jonathan Barnes

Jonathan Barnes is a seasoned personal injury attorney who has successfully assisted hundreds of clients throughout Kentucky, achieving substantial settlements for those affected by injuries. His dedication to client advocacy stems from his early experiences as a clerk in a personal injury and employment discrimination firm during his law school years.

Jonathan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Political Science. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2021. Following his admission to the bar, Jonathan joined a Kentucky-based law firm, where he continues to champion the rights of individuals harmed by negligence.

During law school, Jonathan was actively involved in the Journal of Animal and Environmental Law, contributing a research note on the EPA's Clean Air Act Title V Interpretation. He also participated in moot court and collaborated with Central High School in Louisville to teach writing skills to students.

Jonathan is a member of the National Trial Lawyers Association, the Kentucky Justice Association, and the American Association for Justice. He holds membership in the State Bar of Kentucky and the Eastern and Western Kentucky Districts of the United States District Court. His trial work has resulted in numerous favorable verdicts, including achieving the highest slip-and-fall verdict in Kentucky in 2022.
